SB NO J (Sunflower seed butter no jelly)

Updated: Apr 10, 2020

You’re probably thinking what in the world is an SB NO J? Well allow me to explain. SB stands for sunflower seed butter with no jelly (never been a huge jelly/jam person). Again, you’re probably thinking WTF. I sure was at first. Growing up one of my favorite snacks was pretty much anything with peanut butter. PB NO J’S sandwiches (If I was being fancy, I’ll add honey), PB and green apple slices, PB and crackers, PB and Oreo’s. The list can go on and on, but you get the point. I could literally eat PB with anytime and with just about anything. Never really appreciated jellies and jams until now (still have to have a taste for it).

This time I wanted to shake it up a bit and try a new nut butter. When I got my first bite of this sandwich all I could think was OMG where have you been all this time? I knew I loved SF seeds, but I had no clue it would make some bomb butter. This may just replace PB in my book! All of the endless possibilities of snacks I can enjoy with this butter. Silky smooth with the perfect ratio of salty and sweet. I used agave instead of sugar for a light honey taste. I’m super excited to share this quick and easy butter recipe with the world because the world deserves to spread this delicious butter on everything!
